The day overflows the brim,
So fresh and so blue,
Make use of life. And let her
Make use of you.

So suddenly she’s required,
But to understand why you need life–
Enough of trying–She is not a sister,
Not a mother, not a wife.

You and she are no kin. But today you
Are with her, included in her space–
From her emptiness and her fullness
What we take we will replace.

Look, whether she is brighter or darker,
There is no replacement to see.
So then love her. But before her
You must not bend your knee.
